Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
This triptych was done for Erik Olson's Tech. 2 class. The assignment was to paint a triptych that was your interpretation of a particular song. I chose to interpret the Beatle's, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds using self portraiture. My roommate Megan Marsac is a wonderful photographer and did the reference photoshoot for me. I think the three paintings work well together without being too similar, because I wanted to work out of three different color keys. The first painting is depicting "Cellophane flowers of yellow and green, towering over your head." The second painting depicts "The girl with Kaleidoscope eyes". And the third painting is "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds."
Dream
A painting I did in Chuck Gillies's book cover illustration class first semester of junior year. The assignment was to create an illustration of a dream, or something that was dreamlike. I opted to do a dreamlike montage.

Anatomy
Again...I know I did these my sophomore year but better late than never right? They are all from Eugene's wonderful Anatomical figure illustration class. I really do miss it, it was such a fun class and really pushed me to better my drawing skills.
From Figure two
I haven't scanned in anything new from this year yet, but I will soon. In the meantime here are some paintings I did in Erik's figure two class last year.
